MAN'S WORLD / LYRICS VIDEO

Conceptually, I chose to work with the color green to represent nature and it's destruction. And the color pink to represent women and minority groups, and the injustice and discrimination they often experience. Despite the serious theme of the song, and the meaning behind its lyrics, the song has an energetic pop rhythm and beat, and can be categorised as a commercial and extremely danceable tune, so it made sense to choose the most vibrant tones out of the chosen colors, to establish the theme.
I chose to assign these two colors to two types of lyrics, alternating them randomly throughout the video. Referencing the duality and constant contrast between the song's rhythm and lyrics, representing this not only chromatically but also typographically, thus the use of two different fonts and exploration of the idea of 2 voices, 2 points of view and 2 colors.
